My interest in financial management started in 2016 when I started my bookkeeping business. From there, it grew to include personal & corporate tax preparation.

This is where I noticed the massive gap in our education behind keeping personal finances tight, and acknowledging them.

In 2016 my husband and I were faced with a huge pile of debt & loss of employment a month after buying our first home. We were deciding which bills to pay each month & which ones to skip. We knew something had to change, but didn’t know how. We were fucking broke!

There were such minimal resources and educational sources to seek out to learn how to get out of debt, better manage your day to day finances, and get fucking wealthy without having a handout of cash. That’s the end dream isn’t it? Fucking wealthy, while living the dream. Damn that sounds good. I mean after we get rid of all the expenses & shit we’ve ignored for too long.

Then came mamahood, and my whole focused changed. I’m not going to tell you the same story you hear all over fucking social media “I want to contribute but stay at home…” While that’s inspiring, it’s overused & not me. I just truly get lit the fuck up when I can have time to myself, & I really fucking love business. Like get obsessed over ways to create new business’, or help entrepreneurs excel in their business. This is where my virtual bookkeeping & business advisory business took off. I could create it around my busy lifestyle with two crazy boys & an over adventurous husband, and not miss any of those moments & memories. But still get to excel in my passion. Getting to choose my clients, my work days, my schedule, makes me love my fucking work.
